2011 // Tube innovations

Meeting the growing demands of our customers for tubes for special applications we continuously strive for innovations. Two new prototypes of rather high interest to the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries have recently been developed by Karl Höll engineers and inventive closure experts.
The “Tube Dose Linear” is an aluminium tube with a dosing cap with an integrated quantity regulator for precise, simple and clean dosing of viscous substances in three steps. This first-class hygienic and medically useful application is ideal for sensitive ointments containing e.g. cortisone.
The laminate tube “Pad Point” with an intelligent restraint system allows the application of an even amount of a fluid product on the designated area. This offers numerous possibilities for cosmetic use i.e. facial cleaners and anti acne fluids. The pad point tube also opens new options for the application of various other products such as colours and adhesives.

Summer 2011 // Preservation without preservatives

Alu tubes: To Protect and To Serve. Perfect protection against spoilage, no undesired influence on taste and uncompromising hygiene altogether with a significantly longer shelf-life. Without any preservatives different foods retain all their properties in tubes and keeping fresh in the shelves and fridges even longer. This saves food: an aspect of increasing importance for consumers. This is why well-known food producers rely on Höll tubes as packaging for mustard, mayonnaise and the growing range of barbecue sauces and spice pastes.

October 2010 // Oliver Höll again GDA vice-president

Friedrich Brökelmann, president of theGesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie e.V. has been re-elected for a three-year term at the association’s general meeting. The GDA members confirmed Oliver Höll for the second time as vice-president together with Oliver Bell, Norsk Hydro ASA, Oslo. We are pleased with the re-election and actively support the association’s work. GDA with its 109 member companies represents 96% of the German aluminium industry, based on production volume, and gives work to 73.000 employees.

Together with our Bavarian partner Zelinka GmbH we presented ourselves at the international trade fair "CosmeticBusiness" in Munich, where the international supplying industry met the cosmetics manufacturers. Thus we met the growing interest of the cosmetics industry in aluminium tubes with their perfect product properties especially for high-quality cosmetics and cosmoceuticals.

March 2010 // Keeping an eye on safety

The new Höll improvements in the manufacturing process of cannula tubes guarantee more consumer safety. An inline camera surveillance system detects material defects on the tube tips and sorts out the tubes automatically. "We wanted to increase reliability further and so developed the 100% control system,” explaines Oliver Höll. For further details please read our latest press release.

Spring 2010 // More than packaging material

The local energy provider Stadtwerke Langenfeld introduces Karl Höll to its customers in the region. In its customer magazine "tag&nacht” (= day & night) they give an insight for everyone into the daily life of the local tube manufacturer by giving facts and background information about tube manufacturing and the company’s history.

November 2009 // Appointed Managing Director

Clemens Behrenbruch, 43, is now Managing Director of Karl Höll GmbH & Co. KG since 1st November 2009. He will lead the family business together with Mr. Oliver Höll. So far, Mr. Behrenbruch assumed the position of the Commercial Director at Höll. His concerns are particularly to strengthen the company’s competitiveness and employee development issues. Clemens Behrenbruch takes over from Mr. Walter Schwinn, who retired in March 2009 as a long-serving CFO.

August 2009 // Investing in the future // highest production requirements achieved

Only 1 year after implementation of the new production line it is running at full speed. The annual production of this line alone is over 50 millions of highest quality aluminium tubes. We are proud to be using one of the most modern production lines worldwide with its capability of running at speeds of 200 pieces per minute.

June 2008 // Release Change SAP ERP 6.0

Karl Höll implements a substantial release change of the SAP-System. With this new release SAP ERP 6.0 we are able to generate even closer online communications with our customers thus taking the supply chain concept to a new level.

May 2008 // Höll installs Thermal Afterburner

At Höll we have realized our responsibility for the environment and for future generations. In order to live up to this responsibility we have installed a complex exhaust cleaning system. Solvents which are generated during production are collected and neutralized.
